The studyCalls against a control

Every call, measured against a control.

Anyone can publish a hit rate. In a strong tape everything runs, so "most of our calls went green" can be true and tell you nothing. The number that means something is how our calls did against comparable stocks on the same day, through the same trigger, from the same minute.

4.4x

An alerted name was 4.4 times more likely to run 20%+ than a comparable name we passed on.95% confidence interval 3.0x to 5.9x · bootstrap, 4,000 resamples

01The comparison

Same day, same screen, same trigger.

The control group is every name that met the same screen and triggered the same setup on the same day that we did not call. Same sessions, same universe, same measurement. The only difference is our filters and our ranking.

02What this number is not

Read this part before you trust it.

It measures the name, not your trade."Ran 20%+" means the stock reached that level after the call. Whether a trade captured it depends on your fill, your size and your exit.
20 sessions is not a long record.A ten-year replay of this setup family shows the base rate swinging about five-fold between market regimes. This sample is one regime.
Many calls hit their stop. The method is built around a small number of large winners. Stops are part of the normal shape of it, not a malfunction.
Nothing here is a return. These are levels and outcomes, not trades anyone placed. They ignore fills, size and discipline.
03How the public record is scored

One rule, every call.

ScoredFrom the alert price to the highest print after it, on one-minute bars.
GreenRan 2% or more after the alert. Under that, it is listed as flat.
HaltsIf the alert price never printed because of a halt, we score from the first real print.
WhereEvery call is timestamped in Discord, and the nightly recap lists them all.
